This year’s World Demolition event was held at the Krasnapolski Hotel in Amsterdam. The world’s best demolition contractors gathered to share their challenging demolition projects. At the end of the event, Judges chose the winners of 2014 World Demolition Awards. The winner of this year’s Best World Demolition Award was Australia’s Liberty Industrial contactor for the  ” Kwinana Smelting Plant ” demolition project. The analysis was done By Applied Science International (ASI) engineers using their proprietary Extreme Loading® for Structures (ELS) software. Other awards were given to contractors with relation to their categories. UK’s Keltbray contractor won the contract of the year for projects over $1.5 million while Brazilian Fabio Bruno Construções won the Highly Commended certificate for demolition projects for the same category. What is interesting here is that Fabio Bruno Construções, also, used the help of Applied Science International (ASI) engineers in analyzing the demolition project that won this award. For projects under $1.5 million, Australian Decommissioning Services won the contract of the year with another Highly Commended going to the US’s Brandenburg Industrial Services.
